Dermatology
Physician & Staff:
Dr. Mary M. Dobry has been seeing patients in her private practice in La Jolla for over 10 years. She is also a clinical instructor at the University of California in San Diego. Dr. Dobry was born in St. Mary's County in Maryland. She moved to Albuquerque where she attended the University of New Mexico and became a Chemist. She did research at the Sandia National Labs and the Air Force Weapon's Lab involving Lasers. She then attended medical school at the University of New Mexico, graduating with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Society). After a 1 year internship in Internal Medicine, Dr. Dobry attended the University of Califonia, San Diego for a 3 year dermatology residency program. She served as chief dermatology resident in 1991. She has also published several papers and did research in lasers and glycolic acid. She became board certified in dermatology in 1992. She has practiced in La Jolla since then. Dr. Dobry is married (Jon who practices as a Judge). She also has a daughter (Allison, 15), a son (Corry, 13) and a step-daughter (Bree, 14).
Brinda handles all front office procedures including patient questions, appointment scheduling, insurance verification and sale of skin products. Brinda also assists the billing and back office staff. Brinda is available 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Fridays.
Jennifer is the patient care coordinator for prescription refills and authorizations. For refills, call 858.784.0590 and select the voice option #12 for prescription refills. She also assists Dr. Dobry with patient care and can answer many questions patients may have about medical treatments and cosmetic procedures.
Cheri is in charge of billing insurance and collecting fees. She also answers the telephone, schedules appointments and helps patients with their questions. Cheri works Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. |
